Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Sorry I haven't updated in a few weeks. A lot has been going on here, Catina and Hayden no longer live with us. :( It has been quiet with out them here, but we see them quite often and call a lot. Hayden is still cute as a button! He is now nine months and getting ready to walk! Weather has been crazy....last week we had snow, wind, rain, and a wee bit of sun!! Today is windy and snowy. Catina and Carter had birthday's!! Happy Happy Birthday!! Carter had a sleep over Saturday with 5 boys. They had fun watching movies, playing video games, and eating junk food and cake. For Carter's birthday we bought him Tom Brady because he loves the Patriots. He was even on his cake!!! Work has been well, we had the opportunity to meet a couple from Austrailia to see the 'Deadliest Catch' boats. Can you imagine flying all the way from Austrailia to see the boats and crews!! They were so nice and excited to be here! Marilyn and Gary I hope you come visit again soon! I missed CB last week at work, he was under the weather so he missed a few days! I hope he is on the mend. Work has been good and we also are having a council meeting Wednesday! I want to Thank Chef Boy for cutting his hair to donate to 'Locks of Love'. What a guy!! I hope CB follows thru with his part of the deal, I donated cutting, Chef boy cut his hair (LIKE 15 inches!!), CB was going to donate $100 to LOL!! Spiderman & a Pirate RRRR!
For Halloween Tegan was Spiderman and Todd was a Pirate, I was Princess Belle. We had a fun time going to PCR's Halloween fair, and then trick-o-treating to friends houses. Tegan made a good haul with the treats and was a tired Spiderman after all of the events. Can you believe it is time to start thinking of Thanksgiving now? It is also Carter's birthday next week, he will be 11 years young. So Carter loves the Patriots, so I am thinking a football theme and let the boys have fun at the pool, and of course Wii!! The weather is raining out? I don't understand what mother nature has in the plans for us, but it sure is interesting. If you haven't heard I am have a 40% OFF Sale on select products at the salon until they are all gone!! Come and check it out! Hope everyone is recovering from Halloween and not eating too much candy! :)

Hi Punkin'
It is October, it will be Halloween day in 5 days! Kids are having fun carving pumpkins and eating seeds. Tegan will be spiderman for Halloween. He's pretty excited. Hopefully he will be feeling much better. He has been fighting a cough for over a week now. I think he's on the mend! Weather has been cold, but beautiful. The snow coming down and the cool, crisp air has been nice. First quarter of school is over. I can't believe the kids are into their second quarter. Kanesia and Carter are having fun in basketball. I keep forgetting my camera, so I will take photo's this week. We have a City Council meeting Tuesday, Zack Shasteen will be taking the 'Oath'. Should be a good meeting. The Alexandria house is on the agenda, I know there will be a lot of community input on that item. Hope everyone is doing great. Happy Harvest!

Floors, Council, & Barsky!
Last week Todd and I tore my kitchen floor apart to put in a nicer floor in. It was tedious, hard work. Todd did most of the work. I helped take out a few tiles but not as many as Todd. It is looking beautiful, we just need a few finishing touches and I will have a kitchen again. Council last week was good. The Girls and Boy Scouts attended the meeting and said the 'Pledge of Allegiance'. It was very nice, and to have the energy the kids have would be nice!! The USAFV staff also came to the council meeting and made us aware of 'Domestic Violence' awareness month. It was an eye opener to hear the facts on domestic violence. My friend Dave came to visit for a week and a half during the crab opening. He was running around filming all of the deadliest boats. But made time to visit and have dinner at our disasterous home. Carter and Dave got along pretty good, they both like the Patriots football team. It was good to see Dave and catch up on life. The kids are having their school pictures taken this week. It is pretty fun to get them ready and hope that they have a cute smile with their eyes open!! It has been interesting to watch the snow creep down the hills too, wonder when we will get our first snow fall? Any guesses? I will say the 27th of October! Sounds like a good number...Enjoy your fall.

Cleaning & Diving
It is my day off today, but I opted to clean my home and salon. Also after our hard work cleaning I went diving with my buddy Aura. Catina and Kanesia helped me 'deep clean' the salon. We pulled everything off the floor and mopped. Pulled everything off the shelves and dusted. Wiped everything down and put a little sparkle into the salon!! It looks beautiful and smells wonderful. Not that it didn't but it's much sweeter. I sent my salon order out and I also did loads of laundry and the dishes. Whew!! After all our hard work Aura and I went for a dip in the water. We went to 'Little South America's-reef'. It was so cool. The viz was awesome and seen rockfish, starfish, octopus, sea anenome's, flounders, and some awesome reef scenage. We dove to 70ft and were in the water for about 25 min. Tomorrow I have another day off, but I think I will take advantage of my quiet morning while the kids are in school and go for a hike if the weather allows and finish my quarterly taxes for the salon. Kids are all doing great, progress reports were all acceptable with A's and B's. Kanesia, Carter, & Catina are working hard, and I hope they keep up the great work. Tegan is pretty cute in pre-kindergarten. He learned to 'stop, drop, & roll'. So we all had to participate. Congratulations to my nephew Cody who lives in Sand Point he and his girlfriend Krista had a baby Saturday (10-10-09) evening at 8pm. Ian Randell Merrifield weighed 6#5oz and 19 inches long. Best wishes to all of them!! Have a wonderful week!!

Back home!!
Sorry for the non-posting weeks! I flew around with out my laptop. It was nice to be laptop-less. Just another carry on to keep track of. I left for D.C. with City Council on September 18th and returned to Anchorage on the 24th, and flew home on the 29th. It was a whirl wind of a trip. Busy but good. Visited Senator Murkowski, Senator Begich, and Congressman Young. The other meetings were with the Coast Guard, Army Corps, Alaska Governor's office, & NMFS office. I know we had a few other meetings but can't think of them at the moment. It was a productive meeting and seemed to be positive. We asked for funding for paving of the Ballyhoo road, help with the water & wastewater upgrade. Geothermal was another meeting at Dept. of Energy. More funding to finish the small boat harbor. So it was a positive trip. Hopefully we will see some money coming our way to get some upgrades. Weather was hot and humid in D.C., but I wasn't complaining! I sat in the sun a little at a park outside the White house. It was 75-80 degrees everyday. When I flew back I spent a few days in Anchorage for Tegan's Dr. appts. His ears are doing wonderfully! He had tubes put in two years ago, and they are now about to both come out. And the Dr. said he is doing just fine, so no 'new' tubes need to be put in. It is nice to be home and the kids are happy that we are back home. I can't believe it's October already. Election day is Tuesday the 6th for 2 council seats, Good luck to each and everyone. It is not fun being under a microscope, but I applaud the ones that step up to the plate and want to be involved! I hope to post a new post next week on time!! Take care and enjoy your October!

Fall weather, Hayden's 1st Sunday brunch, Tegan's photo's
Our fall weather has arrived in full swing. Planes cancelling, backed up mail, and cold weather has arrived. But on Tuesday the weather will be perfect for CB!! We had termination dust on the mountain tops last week! This years berry harvesting was very poor. Not a whole lot of rain this summer, and not enough snow from last year's winter had a lot to do with the poor berry picking season. Last Sunday Hayden seen all the photos of CB's website and wanted to see what he was missing out on...He really enjoyed the yogurt cups and a little fruit. Hayden will be 7 months on the 21st. He also has his first two bottom teeth, and crawling around. He is growing into a busy boy!! Tegan is going to be a professional photographer some day. We were visiting Uncle Don and Aunty Chris and had some fun. He loves to take pictures......of anything too! I think he does pretty good for a 4 yr old. I will be traveling with council to D.C. this week, it is always a busy trip but I am always amazed at the monuments. Wishing CB, Chris and Don a safe Holiday as they travel across the world, and return safely. I hope everyone has a great week.
